Three Belles Marina is located on pristine Smith Cove, just minutes from the quaint village of Niantic and just a few mile from Interstate 95. Our six acre property is nestled in a residential community and has over 1,200 feet of waterfront with a southern exposure. After a day on the sea consider a stroll into Niantic for dinner, a movie and some shopping.

The entrance to Smith Cove off the Niantic River - only minutes from some of the best boating and fishing on Long Island Sound. Spend the day on the beautiful and well protected Niantic River and enjoy quite sandy beaches with a picnic lunch or take the kids water skiing or tubing if you are so inclined.

Our West Dock is a floating dock with power and water at every slip.

Stop into the deli for delicious Boar’s Head sandwiches and fresh baked goods. Open daily for breakfast and lunch. Try our homemade Three Belles Granola! We also stock light provisions, ice, candy and various drinks. Don’t let the summer pass without sampling the marina favorite— gourmet ice cream sandwiches! Too good to pass up.

Stop into the ship's store and check our wide range of marine supplies and hardware. If you need it, we try to have it on hand. If we don’t, we can usually get it the next day.

All of our summer customers have access to our swimming pool. Come take a refreshing dip after a long day on the water or too much time in the sun. Or just come lay in the sun on one of our deck chairs. We have a southern exposure so we have sun throughout the day!

All of our summer customers are welcome to use our picnic area and the complimentary gas grills. Our lawn looks out over the marina and is adjacent to the pool so you are right next to everything. If you're feeling cramped on the boat, the picnic table area on the lawn is a good place to spread out.

Our restrooms for men and women are clean and bright. Recently remodeled, our restrooms include both bathroom and showers and are available to our customers year round. We also have an outside wash basin for clean up after really dirty jobs, and so we keep the restrooms looking their best!

During the summer season, Three Belles Marina will launch your boat within an hours notice. Upon returning, your boat will be hauled rinsed with fresh water and returned to the safety of the rack building. Should you need to work on your boat we have plenty of ground service stands for your use, each of which has power and water nearby. In addition, we can provide inside winter storage for larger boats on a limited basis. Center aisle must launch by April 30. Winter Indoor rates for large boats stored in the center aisle include: dust cover, wash and wax hull, light sand and paint bottom, change hull and running gear zincs (labor only - parts extra)

New outdoor valet racks that can accommodate as many as 50 vessels up to 35’ were installed during the summer of 2008 right across from the Valet Rack Building. Our outdoor racks offer boaters a convenience of a valet service at a great price! During the summer season your boat is launched on demand and upon your return the boat is rinsed with fresh water and put back on the rack. Should you need to work on your boat, we have a number of ground stands that may be used. Each stand has water and power nearby.

Dry land trailered boats are a convenient yet economical way to enjoy boating. The dry land boater has a designated “land slip” in our yard for boat and trailer. Rather than keeping your boat at home and having to drive it each time to the local launch ramp, leave it with us and launch it at our private ramp. Dry land boats have water and power nearby and our customers can wash down and work on their boats as necessary. We can accommodate 30 vessels up to 26 feet in length.

Through our preferred partners network Three Belles can assist you with all your marine electronics needs for sailing, power boating and fishing. We offer and install communication, safety, navigation and entertainment electronics for your boat. You can choose among all leading brands, compare prices, buy and install directly through us. Choose among a wide selection of GPS chart plotters, radar, VHF radios, antennas, stereos, fish finders, accessories and more.

Three Belles Marina fabricates complete mooring setups and services our customers' moorings through our Mooring Service Program. Our pontoon boat is used to set and retrieve moorings throughout the surrounding Niantic Bay area

The Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has recognized Three Belles Marina on Smith Cove off the Niantic River in East Lyme as only the eleventh recreational boating facility to be certified as a “Connecticut Clean Marina.” This certification acknowledges the facilities efforts to go beyond regulatory compliance and participate in voluntary measures to keep Connecticut waters clean. The DEP applauds Three Belles Marina’s voluntary commitment to reduce the environmental impacts of their marina operation,” said Gina McCarthy, Commissioner of the DEP. “We encourage all marinas, yacht clubs and boatyards to follow the lead of the Three Belles Marina and participate in this program.” “The Clean Marina certification demonstrates our commitment to protect our most precious resource, Smith Cove and the Long Island Sound, for the future enjoyment of our customers and for future generations of boaters” says Tobey & Libby Russ, owners of Three Belles Marina. To become certified as a Connecticut Clean Marina, marina operators must show that their facility operates in compliance with all applicable environmental regulatory requirements, and illustrate voluntary operation at standards above and beyond compliance in seven categories: mechanical activities, painting and fiberglass repair, hauling and storing boats, fueling, facility management, emergency planning, and boater education. Certified Clean Marinas are authorized to fly a Clean Marina flag and to use the Clean Marina logo on their publications and letterhead.
