For three generations, Pirate Cove has been home, not only to vessels large and small, but to their owners and families as well.

Located on the western shore of the Sakonnet River in scenic Portsmouth, RI, our marina is truly a pirate’s treasure, protected by a stalwart jetty and tucked away at the entrance to the cove.

Developed and run by the Kidd family since the beginning, we are a family-oriented full-service marina geared to enhancing your boating experience. The proof: many of our members have been with us since the beginning in 1967! We invite you to stop by, take in the view, and get to know us. We think you’ll like what you find: a friendly boating community, a long list of services, reasonable costs, and expert help.

Whether you’re here for the boating season, winter storage or all year ‘round, our staff will give you and your vessel the very best care and service.

From friendly staff to handy dock carts and clean bathrooms, we aim to please!

Your boat’s home: Slips and moorings for boats up to 70’, summer and winter storage, in the water or out. Live-aboards welcome.

Fill 'er-up'. Diesel, gas and water fill up at the dock, 7 am to 6 pm seven days a week. Call for the most up to date pricing.

Save the Bay: Authorized holding tank pump-out station, 7 am to 6 pm seven days a week.

Supplies: Ship’s store, ice and of course, a Coke machine!

Connect Worldwide: We now offer Beacon wi-fi Internet access free to our members. Ask for the password at the office.

Seasonal transition: For hauling and launching our Acme 60-ton Travel-lift and 35-ton Terex Crane lift boats up to 70’, plus shrink wrapping, winterization services and heated indoor storage for 35 boats.

Upkeep: Engine work, fiberglass repairs, Awlgrip, rigging, custom carpentry, brightwork/varnish, custom canvas installation and repair, electrical repairs, electronics installation. Anything you need done, we can do.

Big jobs: Mooring service/ installation, dock building/barge rental.
