BEAUFORT, N.C. May 28, 2009—Town Creek Marina held two ribbon cutting ceremonies Wednesday, May 13, 2009. Both ceremonies were hosted by the Carteret County Chamber of Commerce in which approximately 100 people were in attendance.
The owners of Town Creek Marina, brothers Steve and Chuck Tulevech addressed the crowd and announced the expansion of services including a new Charter Boat program, expanded Ship’s Store inventory, sales strategy for reducing their boat inventory and the Grand Opening of their new waterfront restaurant, FishTales.
The huge crowd participated in both ribbon-cutting ceremonies. “We are very excited to expand our services and continue to bring quality marina and boating services to the Carteret County community. The many area infrastructure improvements both current and future, including the newly opened neighboring public boat ramp, will continue to be a large contributor to the success and growth of our business,” said Chuck Tulevech, General Manager and Owner.
Town Creek Marina is now home to six charter boats and expects to bring on more boats in the coming year. The program is still in its infancy stages and expects to be fully functioning by June 1, 2009. The Town Creek Charter Program will offer traditional charter boat services including full and half day deep sea charters, overnight stays and seasonal fishing charters. In addition, Town Creek has developed a new offering of Sunset Cruises that will package a 2 to 3 hour sunset cruise followed by booking reservations at the FishTales restaurant. “I am very excited to be a part of the Charter Boat program at Town Creek. Their program will offer a new opportunity for tourists and locals alike to see Beaufort in a different and interesting way,” said Jerry Satterfield, Owner of the charter boat Instigator.
“It was important for our company to share our 2009 strategy with the business community and give our community leaders, customers, friends and family the opportunity to see all of our improvements in person,” said Steve Tulevech, Operations Manager and Owner.
In addition, Town Creek Marina announced the Grand Opening of their new waterfront restaurant, FishTales. The crowd dined on a sampling of the Coastal Carolina inspired menu and were introduced to the FishTales concept where they were asked to submit photos and stories of their next fishing tale, all tall tales accepted. As stories are submitted, the restaurant will begin framing these “FishTales” and integrating these stories into framed artwork that will be hung on the walls of the restaurant. Key staff members were introduced including FishTales Executive Chef and General Manager, Todd Barnes as well as Corrina Singleton, Front of The House Manager. FishTales is open Tuesday through Sunday, 11 am – until offering daily food and drink specials and weekend entertainment.
