| Accommodations |
| The layout of the 1978 40’ Ocean is spacious and pleasing starting with the good size cockpit which leads to a spacious and impressive salon. This Ocean is equipped for family cruising and/or fishing. The forward view from the salon and large side windows provide a pleasant open feeling highlighted by the rich finished teak interior draperies, blinds, and carpeted floors. The windshields over the galley area create the feeling and light similar to a solarium. The Master Stateroom has twin berths and the forward stateroom has multiple V-berths. Private access is provided to the head from each stateroom. Two – Zone Cruisair reverse cycle heat and air conditioning throughout the vessel.
Master Stateroom
The Master Stateroom has perpendicular twin berths with a hanging locker and four drawers below the upper berth and under berth storage for the lower berth. Also, a private entry is provided to the head. A port hole brings in natural light.
Guest Stateroom
The guest stateroom is forward. The lower V-berths provide sleeping for two and the upper berth accommodates an additional guest or family member. A large hanging locker, under berth drawer storage and sink with vanity completes the appointments for this stateroom.

The head is located forward of the Master Stateroom and aft of the Guest Stateroom on the port side. Fairly large, this head is equipped with a stand-up stall shower, lavatory, vanity cabinet w/Corian style, sink and large mirror.
The spaciousness of the salon and large side windows provide a pleasant open feeling highlighted by the rich finished teak interior draperies, blinds, and carpeted floors. An L-shaped sofa, twin stufffed chairs and storage cabinetry create the warmth of home while enjoying the pleasures of on the water living. |
| Galley Equipment |
| The galley is amid ship starboard and is fully appointed with all the cooking, cleaning and refrigeration needed. A modest counter surrounds the stainless steel sink. This galley down layout has eliminated the typical cave-like isolation by leaving the lines of sight open to the salon with the windshield effect from overhead.
